This is my spot

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I hope you had a great week so far.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm), Bazzill, My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found 3 Ruby, Lost & Found Record It Heirloom, On Trend).
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), autocollants & badge / stickers & flair (My Mind's Eye-On Trend), bouton / button (My Mind's Eye-Fancy That), napperon / doily (Crate Paper-Maggie Holmes Open Book), tampons / stamps (Kesi'Art), encre / ink (Versafine Onyx Black), fil / thread.

D Day

Bonjour!

Hi!

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my father-in-law's birthday. As his name is Daniel, the title D Day sounded quite good to me!

As I don't own a cutting machine, I traced a mustache that I found on the internet directly from the computer screen on a white sheet of paper. I then cut it, drew the outlines of this homemade template on a piece of patterned paper and fussycutted it.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Kesi'Art (Joli Pack Wouaf), My Mind's Eye (Find YourWing and Fly-Up & Away).
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers et tampon / thickers and stamp (American Crafts), bouton / button (My Mind's Eye-Fancy That), autocollant / sticker (My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit), encre / ink (Versafine Onyx Black), twine.

Hello world

Bonjour!

Hello!

I hope your week started off nicely.

I have a new page to share today with a picture taken at the Chinatown Gate in San Francisco.

As I don't have a lot of cardstocks left, I chose a printed paper for the background here again. I cut some rectangles from various paper pads and lined them up vertically in the middle of the page. I slightly curved them and glued them partially to create some volume. I drew a circle using a saucepan (haha) and glued candy dots over it. Finally, I added some glittery thickers in the circle for the title.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found Record It Heirloom, Market Street Ashbury Heights, The Sweetest Thing Honey & Lavender).
- embellisements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Lost & Found Record It Heirloom), demi-perles / candy dots, stylo noir / black pen.

Merci d'être passé et à bientôt!

I'm So Fancy

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I hope you had a great weekend (even if it's not totally over yet). I am back today to share the result of the scrap sessions I had this weekend. It's a layout with soft colors and centered on a picture taken on Santa Cruz's pier.

First, I worked on the background paper by spreading gesso in the middle of the page with a plastic card. Once dry, I applied some gold acrylic paint on a stencil.

With some tissue paper, I made an envelope that I adorned with ephemera, some ribbon and a button and that I filled with sequins and a tag on which I wrote some journaling.

To finish off the page, I added a few bits of printed papers, sompe ephemera, little heart punches, a wood veneer piece and a flair for the title.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: My Mind's Eye (On Trend, Sky's the Limit), page de livre / book page, papier de soie / tissue paper.
- embellissements / embellishments: ephemera (Crate Paper-Maggie Holmes Confetti), bouton & badge / button & flair (My Mind's Eye-Fancy That), enamel dot (My Mind's Eye-Just Record It Charmed), découpe en bois / wood veneer, ruban / ribbon, tag, twine, œillet / hole reinforcer, trombone / paper clip, tampon / stamp (American Crafts), encre / ink (Versafine Onyx Balck), stylo noir / black pen, peinture acrylique / acrylic paint (Louvre), gesso.

Merci de votre visite! Thank you for stopping by!  :)

El Pueblo de Los Angeles

Bonjour!

Hi!

I am back today to share a new layout dealing with our californian adventures. The photos were taken in Los Angeles' historic area, El Pueblo de Los Angeles. We visited the lovely and colorful Olvera Street, with its cobbled road and Mexican atmosphere, as well as the Los Angeles Plaza which was decorated with Chinese lanterns for the upcoming Lantern Festival.

To make this page, I started with covering a flowery paper (matching the coat my daughter is wearing on the pictures ^^) with gesso hearts using a homemade stencil (I drew the outlines of a wood veneer piece several times on a bit of cardboad and I cut them out with a craft knife).

As the background paper is quite colorful, I used light-colored papers as a mat for the page and the photos and for the little words describing our day I scattered over the page.

To echo the red lanterns on one of the pictures, I made a garland out of twine, beads and decorative clothespins.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy-Lucky Charm, Amy Tangerine-Plus One), My Mind's Eye (Sky's the Limit), Simple Stories (Vintage Bliss).
- embellissements / embellishments: pinces décoratives / decorative clothespins (American Crafts-Amy Tangerine), brads (My Mind's Eye-The Sweetest Thing Honey), perles / beads (Canal Toys), twine, gesso, encre en spray / spray ink.

Contente que vous soyez passé aujourd'hui! A bientôt!

The Easter Bunny Tour 2015

Bonjour!

Hi guys!

I hope you had a nice weekend. As far as I'm concerned, I found some time to scrap pictures of the girls proudly posing next to their Easter treasure. :)

I started with working on the background paper by spreading some gesso over a stencil with a paintbrush and making a few gesso stains using a straw. Once dry, I stitched a frame around the page, as well as the number 2015 (that was a long job, I'm telling you ^^). In a printed paper, I drew and cut the Easter letters as well as two flowers. I placed them around the photos and added a few enamel dots as well as alpha stickers to finish off the title.

De plus près / Some close-ups:

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: American Crafts (Amy Tangerine-Yes Please), Pink Paislee (Spring Jubilee).
- embellissements / embellishments: lettres autocollantes / alpha stickers (My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit, The Sweetest Thing Honey), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Just Record It Charmed), pochoir / stencil, gesso, fil / thread.

Merci de vous être arrêté par ici! Je vous souhaite une très bonne journée.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

Bonjour!

Hi!

Today, I am sharing a card I made for my mother-in-law's birthday.

I cut out the base of the card from a piece of cardstock. On a smaller rectangle of printed paper, I stamped the date several times and added a few drops of gesso and black ink. I drew and cut flowers in some printed papers and a bit of fabric, I adorned them with a button and enamel dots and placed them on the rectangle of paper that I glued on the front of the card. Simple but cute: I hope she'll like it!

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found 3 Oliver; Miss Caroline), tissu / fabric.
- embellissements / embellishments: bouton / button (My Mind's Eye-Fancy That), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Just Record It Charmed), tampon dateur / roller date stamp (American Crafts), encre / ink (Izink Pigment Caviar, Versafine Smokey Gray), gesso, fil / thread.

Je vous souhaite un très bon weekend! Have a great weekend! :)

Life is sweet

Bonjour!

Hello!

I hope you had a great Easter weekend and lots of chocolate!

I have a new layout to share today with more pictures of our trip to California taken while we were having little sugary breaks. The second photo was actually taken on the Old Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey where we found a creperie run by a man from Brittany, where I also come from. ^^

This is a quite busy page all in printed papers, stamps, ink, gesso, stitching and a few embellishments.

So, what about you? Do you often pick printed papers for your backgrounds or do you prefer plain cardstock?

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: My Mind's Eye (Cut & Paste-Adorbs and Flair, Find Your Wings and Fly-Sky's the Limit).
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), tampons / stamps (Kesi'Art, Technique Tuesday), encre / ink (Izink Pigment Caviar, Versafine Onyx Black & Smokey Gray), épingle décorative / decorative clothespin (American Crafts Amy Tangerine), napperon / doily (Crate Paper-Maggie Holmes Open Book), layered sticker (My Mind's Eye-Cut & Paste Flair), découpes en bois / wood veneer (Studio Calico), gesso, twine, fil / thread, stylo noir / black pen.

Be you

Bonjour!

Hi!

I'm finishing off the week with a new page showcasing pictures of my little one. I added a lovely black and white overlay on them using Pixlr o-matic.

To make this layout, I used goodies from several My Mind's Eye collections, among which the gorgeous "Glimmer" paper from the Market Street Nob Hill line with its beautiful and colorful flowers and black background. I think this is one of my favorite patterns: it always creates a beautiful contrast when used with light-colored papers. What about you? Do you have a favorite pattern?

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: My Mind's Eye (Market Street-Ashbury Heights & Nob Hill, Find Your Wings and Fly-Sky's the Limit).
- embellissements / embellishments: découpes en papier / die cuts (My Mind's Eye-Jubilee Mint Julep & Market Street Ashbury Heights), mots et lettres autocollantes / alpha & word stickers (My Mind's Eye-Necessities Metallic & On Trend), badge / flair (My Mind's Eye-On Trend), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Just Record It Charmed), encre / ink (Izink Pigment Caviar), stylo noir / black pen.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I wish you a very happy Easter!

You are my happy place

Bonjour!

Hello!

I'm still going on scrapping the pictures of our trip to California and, today, we are stopping in Monterey.

It's a spring page, all in pink and full of  butterflies. As I don't own a butterfly puncher, I drew them (using a butterfly-shaped magnet ^^) and cut them with a box cutter. I made more "empty" butterflies by cutting along the outlines of the first ones.

I wrote the title several times on  a piece of tissue and I used it as a mat for the photo. I also cut out a few circles from that piece of paper, I sprayed some pink ink over them and placed them at the top of the page. Some die cuts, sequins, hole reinforcers, a few enamel dots as well as some gesso and ink stains  finish off the page.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: American Crafts (Amy Tangerine Plus One), Canson, Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes Styleboard), Les Editions Infocrea, My Mind's Eye (The Sweetest Thing Lavender), Prima (Rondelle), papier de soie / tissue.
- embellissements / embellishments: enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Record It Charmed), sequins, oeillets / hole reinforcers, encre / ink (Izink Pigment Caviar), gesso, stylo noir / black pen.

A bientôt!
Thank you for looking! Bye for now!
